Classes

Mini Movers:

A creative, fun and dynamic program for students aged 3 to 6 years, incorporating Ready Set Dance and Ready Set Ballet; introduces children to dance, rhythm and movement; basic dance skills; build self-esteem and confidence in a nurturing environment.

Classical (RAD):

Elegant and graceful; develop strength and technique vital to other aspects of dance; suitable for recreational and exam students.

Recreational Students in Grade 1 and Grade 2 may attend 1 class per week. A second class is required during Term 3 and Term 4 for any recreational Grade 1 and 2 students wishing to participate in an exam or assessment.

Ballet students in Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5 are required to take a minimum of 2 classes per week.
All Ballet students in vocational grades from Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 1 are required to take a minimum of 2 classes per week. An extension class must be taken as a third class if the student is working towards exams or working ‘en pointe’.

Jazz:

Often associated with musicals and used by pop stars, it is a current upbeat style of dance with a strong basis in technique.

Lyrical:

Combination of free-flowing movement with classical technique basis; expressive style like Sydney Dance Company. It is necessary to take a minimum of one classical or one jazz class to take Lyrical.

Musical Theatre:

A specialized class combining jazz style of dance with musical theatre element. It is compulsory to take jazz to take this class.

Hip Hop:

Street style of dance; free, funky, and soulful expression of movement. It is necessary to take jazz to take this class.

Performance — By Invitation:

Based on choreography and performance for students participating in Showcases and Eisteddfods. Offered in styles of Jazz, Hip Hop Lyrical, Contemporary and Musical Theatre. We offer a Dance Development Program for students aged 6 years and older who want to work towards joining Performance Group in Term 3.

Acro — Specialist Program Continuing in 2026!:

After a successful year of Acro in 2025, we will continue to offer Acro classes on a weekly basis in 2026.

  • Beginner: No minimum level required. Working Towards: Cartwheels, Handstands, Round Offs, Walkovers.
  • Intermediate/Advanced: Minimum skill level required: Competence in performing one handed cartwheels and handstands. Working Towards: Side and Front Aerials, back and front handsprings, back tucks, kip ups, head stands and other tumbling combinations.

Acro will appear as a separate charge on the Term Fees for $185 per term (Not included in Schedule of Fees).
